With the introduction of VMware Horizon View a new Help Desk Tool was introduced (See one of my previous blog posts).
The documentation for the Help Desk tool is very limited and does not clearly specify which permissions are needed to use this helpdesk tool. After consulting with VMware, I was told that the minimum required permissions needed to use the Help Desk tool are:
- Manage Global Sessions
- Console Interaction
- Manage Roles and Permissions
- Manage Machine
- Manage Reboot Operation
- Manage Sessions
